ITINERARY:
DAY 01: PUNO – AREQUIPA: At apropriate time a driver will pick you up from your hotel located in Puno (Peru) to take you to Arequipa. During the journey we will pass over the Peruvian high plateau, as the towns of Juliaca, Cabanillas, Santa Lucia, making stop at Lagunillas Lake where we will see a magnificent geography of the Lagoon surrounded by the mountains of the Andes. On this area there are birds like flamingos and ostrich, also camelids as alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. Then following the journey we will pass over 4528m (limit Puno-Arequipa) another stop by pampa cañahuas place where there is the National Reserve of Vicuña (wild camels with the finest wool in the world). Here you can see the snowy peaks of Misti, the Vizcachani, The Pulpera Callalli, Sibayo and Tuti Village, the giant rocks castles as well as the flora and fauna. We continue with our trip where we will pass near to the foot of the volcano Misti and Chachani mountains. Arrival in Arequipa (Peru) located at 2400m above see level, known as the White City because most of its houses and buildings are constructed of white ashlar stone and dating from the colonial era surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. Then transfer to hotel.
